West Somerset Steam Railway

The award-winning West Somerset Railway recaptures the era of the country railway in the days of steam. Enjoy twenty miles of glorious scenery as the train gently rolls back the years on its journey beside the Quantock Hills and West Somerset coast.

The Railway is hosting lots of special events in 2011, including special events, excursions and special trains throughout the spring and summer months.
West Somerset Steam Railway runs from Bishops Lydeard in the Vale of Taunton Deane, then meandering between the Quantock and Brendon Hills with a coastal run from Watchet ending by the beach in the seaside resort of Minehead ... the coastal gateway to Exmoor National Park.
